Get your clients' accounts connected without their passwords
Group channels by client, then send each client a link. They sign in to their own social accounts, with no Schedulin account needed, and the channels land in your workspace under their name.
What are clients and connect links in Schedulin?
A client is a group of channels in your workspace that belong to one customer or brand. You create clients under Settings → Clients, connect channels into them yourself, or send the client a connect link so they can connect their own accounts.
A connect link opens a hosted Schedulin page. Your client picks a platform and signs in on that platform's own login screen. They never share a password or a 2FA code with you, and they don't need a Schedulin account. The same thing is available through the REST API for apps that let their own users connect social accounts.
What can you do with Clients & Connect Links?
A home for each client
Create a client with a name and an optional reference ID, and see every channel that belongs to it in one place.
Copy connect link
One click copies a link to send your client. They connect their own accounts, and the channels arrive under their name.
Connect a channel yourself
Have the login already? Connect an account straight into a client from the same page.
Move channels between clients
Reassign any channel to another client or back to Unassigned. Posts and analytics stay where they are.
Post with channel groups
Add a client's channels to a channel group, then pick the group in the composer to post to all of them at once.
Profiles in the API
Create clients, mint connect links, and assign channels from code with the /v0/profiles endpoints.
How do you get started with Clients & Connect Links?
Create a client
Under Settings → Clients, add a client with a name and, if you like, your own reference ID.
Send a connect link
Click Copy connect link and send it by email or chat. Your client signs in to their platforms on their own.
Schedule for them
Their channels show up under the client. Add them to a channel group and post from the composer as usual.
How do client connect links work?
Connect links replace the usual back-and-forth of asking clients for passwords, 2FA codes, or a screen-share just to connect an account.
What your client sees
A page with your workspace's name and logo, the client's name, and a grid of platforms. They pick one, sign in on the platform's own login screen, and come back to the page to connect another. Accounts they've already connected are listed at the top.
No Schedulin account needed
Your client never signs up for or signs in to Schedulin. They only sign in to their own social accounts, and they can revoke access from each platform's settings at any time.
Link lifetime
Links copied from Settings → Clients work for 7 days. Links created through the API default to 72 hours and can last up to 7 days. Copy a fresh link whenever you need one.
When a link stops working
Besides expiring, a link stops working when you delete the client, when the teammate who created it leaves the workspace, or when the workspace no longer has an active plan.
Supported platforms
Every platform that signs in through the platform itself, plus Bluesky and the platforms that connect with a token or app password, such as Telegram, Mastodon, DEV.to, Hashnode, and WordPress. Farcaster isn't offered on connect links.
For developers
POST /v0/profiles/{id}/connect-link returns a url and an expiresAt. Limit the link to specific platforms, set how many hours it lasts (up to 168), and pass a redirectUrl to show a Done button that sends the user back to your app. Look profiles up by your own externalId instead of storing Schedulin IDs.
Which way should you connect a client's channels?
| Method | Who signs in to the platform | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Connect channel | You | Accounts you already have login access to |
| Copy connect link | Your client | Clients who keep their own passwords and 2FA |
| API connect link | Your app's user | Products where users connect social accounts in your own app |
Channels connected any of these ways count toward your workspace's channel limit.
Built to save you time
No more password requests
Stop asking clients for passwords and 2FA codes, or booking a call just to connect an account. They sign in themselves, on their own time.
Every client in its own place
Channels are grouped by client, so it's clear whose account is whose, even in a workspace with dozens of brands.
Built for your own product too
SaaS builders can create a profile per user, send a connect link, and post to that user's accounts through the API.
Clients & Connect Links FAQ
Does my client need a Schedulin account?
No. Your client opens the link and signs in to their own social platforms. They never create a Schedulin account or sign in to Schedulin.
Which platforms can clients connect with a link?
Every platform that signs in through the platform itself, plus Bluesky and the platforms that connect with a token or app password, such as Telegram, Mastodon, DEV.to, Hashnode, and WordPress. Farcaster isn't offered on connect links. You can also limit a link to specific platforms through the API.
Do channels my client connects count toward my limit?
Yes. They're connected to your workspace, so they count toward its channel limit, which is shared by everyone in the workspace. Pro covers 30 channels for $20/mo, and Bulk plans go higher. If the workspace is at its limit, the connection is refused until you upgrade or free a channel.
How long do connect links last?
Links copied from Settings → Clients work for 7 days. Links created through the API default to 72 hours and can last up to 7 days. A link also stops working if you delete the client, if the teammate who created it leaves the workspace, or if the workspace no longer has an active plan.
Can I do this through the API?
Yes. Use GET and POST /v0/profiles to list and create profiles, GET, PATCH, and DELETE /v0/profiles/{id} to manage one (by its ID or your own externalId), and POST /v0/profiles/{id}/connect-link to create a link. GET /v0/social-accounts?profileId= lists a profile's channels, and PUT /v0/social-accounts/{id} with a profileId moves a channel into or out of a profile.
Which plans include clients and connect links?
Every paid plan, from Starter at $5/mo up to Bulk. Every plan also includes unlimited team members, so your whole team can manage clients without paying per seat.
What happens if I delete a client?
Its channels stay connected and move to Unassigned. Posts and analytics aren't affected, and the client's connect links stop working.
How do I post to one client's channels?
Add their channels to a channel group under Settings → Channel Groups, then pick that group in the composer. Every channel in the group is selected at once.
