How do I schedule messages in Discord?

One OAuth click to add the bot, then a channel ID on each post. No webhooks to manage.

1

Invite the Schedulin bot

Click Connect Discord on the Channels page. Discord's authorization screen asks which server to add Schedulin to — you need Manage Server permission there. Approve, and the server appears in Schedulin.

2

Copy a channel ID

In Discord, turn on Developer Mode (User Settings → Advanced), right-click the target channel, and choose Copy Channel ID.

3

Write the post

Paste the channel ID into the composer, then add your message and up to 10 image or video attachments. Captions can run to 1,980 characters.

4

Schedule it

Pick a time or add it to your queue. The bot uploads the files and posts the message, and Schedulin stores a direct link to it.

Why schedule Discord announcements?

Servers run on rhythm: patch notes on release day, event reminders an hour before start, a weekly roundup every Friday. Doing that by hand means someone has to be online at the right moment, in the right channel, with the right files ready. Miss it and the channel goes quiet exactly when members are looking.

Scheduling turns those rituals into a calendar. Because each post carries its own channel ID, a single connected server can have reminders in #events, release notes in #announcements, and highlights in #general — all queued ahead of time and all visible next to the posts going to your other networks.

Schedulin posts as its bot, not as your personal account. Make sure the bot's role can View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Attach Files in every channel you target.

What does Schedulin support on Discord?

Native Discord messages with real file attachments, sent by a bot that lives in your server.

Text messages

Plain announcements and updates up to 1,980 characters. Anything longer is trimmed to fit Discord's 2,000-character message limit.

Up to 10 attachments

Images and videos are uploaded to Discord as real attachments on a single message, not as links, so they preview inline for members.

Any channel, per post

Choose the destination channel on each post by ID, so one server connection covers announcements, events, and general chat.

Multiple servers

Each server you authorize is its own account in Schedulin. Run several communities from one workspace, each with its own schedule.

Direct message links

Every published post is saved with its discord.com/channels link, so you can jump straight to the message from Schedulin.

Clear permission errors

If the bot can't see or post in a channel, the failed post tells you which permission is missing instead of failing silently.

What doesn't Discord scheduling cover?

Posting is one message per post into a text or announcement channel the bot can access. Discord has no public metrics API for messages, so Schedulin doesn't report reactions or views for Discord posts. Published posts still show as completed with a link.

If the bot is ever kicked from your server, reconnect Discord from the Channels page to invite it again. Pair Discord with team collaboration so moderators can draft announcements for review.

Launch day: Discord, Telegram, and YouTube in one pass

Your community hears it first. Compose the announcement once and send it to your Discord server, Telegram channel, and YouTube audience together, with per-network edits where they need them. See how scheduling works.

Keep your server active without being online 24/7

Invite the bot, queue this week's announcements, and let Schedulin post them on time.

Discord scheduling FAQs

Through the Schedulin bot. When you connect Discord, Discord's own OAuth screen asks which server to add the bot to. After that, the bot posts each scheduled message into the channel you choose. You need Manage Server permission to add it.
