How to plan a month of posts with this template

  1. Pick the year and month, a default posting time, and the platforms you publish to.
  2. Download the CSV. You get one row per day of the month with the date, time, and platforms already filled in.
  3. Open it in Google Sheets or Excel and write each post in the content column. Add image or video links to media_urls if you have them.
  4. Delete the rows for days you don't want to post, adjust any times, and save the sheet as a CSV again.
  5. Upload the file to Schedulin's bulk scheduler to preview every row and schedule the whole month at once.

What columns are in the content calendar CSV?

The file uses the same five columns as Schedulin's bulk CSV upload, in this order, so there's nothing to reformat:

ColumnPre-filled withFormat
contentEmpty — you write thisThe post text, up to 5,000 characters. Required.
scheduled_atOne row per day at your default timeYYYY-MM-DD HH:mm (uses each account's time zone) or full ISO-8601 like 2026-10-05T14:30:00Z. Required.
platformsThe platforms you pickedComma-separated platform slugs, e.g. instagram, threads, bluesky. Required.
media_urlsEmptyOptional. Comma-separated public image or video URLs, up to 10.
tagsA suggested theme for that weekdayOptional. Comma-separated tags, up to 20, for filtering later.

How often should you post?

Consistency matters more than volume. A schedule you can keep for three months beats a daily plan you abandon after two weeks. As a starting point:

  • Instagram and Facebook: 3–5 feed posts or Reels a week, plus Stories on the days you have something to show.
  • TikTok and YouTube Shorts: 3–7 short videos a week if you can sustain it; batch-film to make it realistic.
  • LinkedIn: 2–5 posts a week, ideally on weekdays.
  • X, Threads, and Bluesky: daily or more. Short text posts are cheap to make, so these reward frequency.

Start with fewer rows than you think you need. Delete days from the CSV rather than filling every slot with filler.

A simple weekly content mix

The tags column suggests a theme for each weekday so the month doesn't become all promotion. Roughly: teach something useful (education), show how the work gets made (behind-the-scenes), make one clear offer (promotion), ask a question or run a poll (engagement), and highlight customers or your audience (community). Swap the order to match when your audience is most active.

Schedule the whole month in one upload

Schedulin reads this exact file. Upload it, check the preview, and every post lands on your calendar — with per-platform limits checked before anything goes out.

Frequently asked questions

Is this content calendar template free?

Yes. Generate and download as many monthly CSVs as you like. There's no sign-up, and the file is created in your browser.

Can I open the CSV in Google Sheets or Excel?

Yes. In Google Sheets use File > Import > Upload, or open it directly in Excel or Numbers. When you're done, export it back to CSV (File > Download > Comma-separated values in Sheets).

How do I bulk schedule the calendar in Schedulin?

Fill in the content column, delete rows you won't post, then open Posts in Schedulin and click Bulk upload. Every row is previewed and validated before anything is scheduled, and each row becomes a post for every connected account on the platforms you listed.

How many posts can I upload at once?

Schedulin's bulk upload accepts up to 100 rows per CSV. A full month is at most 31 rows, so one calendar fits in a single upload even if you post daily.

What time zone does scheduled_at use?

A plain date and time like 2026-10-05 09:00 is scheduled in the time zone of each connected account. Add a Z or an offset (2026-10-05T09:00:00-05:00) if you want an exact moment regardless of account settings.

What do the tags in the file mean?

They're a suggested weekly rhythm — education, behind-the-scenes, promotion, engagement, and community — so you don't start from a blank page. Change or delete them freely; tags are only used to organize and filter posts.
